Begin by choosing the appropriate head unit for your car from our website. If you're unsure which one fits your vehicle, contact our professional team, they are more than happy to assist you.
Carefully remove the existing car stereo, including the old fascia. If you not sure how to do that, feel free to watch our youtube channel to learn how to remove and install the head unit for your car.
Use our cable diagram to identify the correct cables for installation, or watch the video below to see which cable plugs into which socket.
Attach the power plug and all other necessary cables to your new head unit according to the diagram or video.
Use the provided harness to connect the head unit to your car. It should be very easy, as our product is plug-and-play for most vehicles. Please note that not all cables from your original car need to be connected, some are not required. For details, please watch our installation video carefully.
Securely place the fascia back in position. If a customized fascia is included in the packaging, please use that one.
Once everything is set up, enjoy your newly installed head unit! If you want to learn more about the head unit, you can read our blogs, GTZONE Ultimate Guideline to Head Units.
Start by checking the wiring diagram and pin definition provided by us. These diagrams outline how the reverse camera connects to the head unit and define the pin configurations.
Connect the power cable to a suitable power source, such as the reverse light circuit, to power the reverse camera. Alternatively, if your car doesn't use a CANbus system, you can connect it to pin No. 3 as shown above.
Attach one end of the video cable(RCA) to the camera's video output port and the other end to the display unit's video input port to transmit the camera's video feed. Cable no.6 in cable diagram.
Find the camera detect cable from the camera's video input port and connect this cable to the head unit's power plug at pin number 3.
If your reverse camera has additional features, such as parking guidelines, you can enable them in your head unit settings. The reverse setting can be found by tapping the reverse screen, it will show up at top right corner.
After all cables are properly connected, test the reverse camera by shifting your car into reverse gear. The camera should display a clear and accurate video feed on the head unit. If it doesn’t, try to switch the signal format between NTSC and AHD.
If you encounter any issues during the installation process, refer to the cable diagram and troubleshooting guide provided by us. Alternatively, you can reach out to our friendly support team at info@gtzone.com.au or livechat.
By following these steps and checking the cable diagrams, you’ll have your head unit and reverse camera set up in no time. Enjoy better in-car entertainment, safer reversing, and an overall smoother driving experience.
