Tools You’ll Need Before You Start

  • Trim removal tool or a butter spreader knife
  • Phillips head screwdriver or a drill driver set
  • Electrical tape or zip ties (for tidy cable management)
  • Your GTZONE plug-and-play harness
  • Your GTZONE Head Unit

Remove your old stereo

Head to the GTZONE homepage and use the search bar to find your vehicle model.For example, type “Hilux” to find options for a Toyota Hilux 2023.

FIND YOUR MODEL

On the search results page, browse the listings and select the GTZONE head unit that matches your vehicle.

LOOK FOR INSTALLATION VIDEO

Once you're on the product page, scroll to the description section and look for the installation video. The video will guide you, starting with how to remove your old stereo.

Youtube - Search Your Car

Go to YouTube and search for your vehicle using this format:[Model] + “radio removal”

For example, if you have a Toyota Hilux 2018, search: Hilux radio removal

Find Your Model

From the search results, choose a video that shows a car matching yours as closely as possible.

Installation Part

This section is split into two parts: head unit installation and reverse camera installation.
Each part includes a step-by-step video guide, along with a wiring diagram if you prefer a static reference.

The video below will show you exactly which cables to plug into the sockets behind the head unit.

Special Notes
  • The other end of Cable No. 1 should be connected to your vehicle’s original factory plug, the one that was previously attached to your old stereo.
  • Not all factory cables need to be connected, only plug in the ones that fit securely into the provided harness.
  • If you're still unsure which cables to connect, check the installation video on your product page or watch it on our YouTube channel.

The video below shows the full process of installing an aftermarket camera from removing the old one, running and hiding the wires, to splicing and connecting it to your new head unit.

Special Notes

After installing the reverse camera, make sure to select the correct video signal format:

  • If you're using back your original factory camera, select NTSC
  • If you've installed a new aftermarket camera, select AHD.
